Salinity Question Empty Salinity Question

My salinity is at 1.019 how much salt do se anyone suggest to add to get it up to 1.026? It is a 75 with 20 gal sump and there are fish in it.

You could try about 4 cups and test again tomorrow and see where that brings you.

But make sure you dont just dump it in the tank if there are any fish or corals in there. I would mix it in like a gallon or two of ro/di water.then add it

Back up what home depot said if you dont pre-mix the salt for 24 hours you can kill your fish from lack of oxygen. to raise it that much you would want to use mixed ro/saltwater, instead of clean ro several times to bring it up not to stress the fish,

Well Board so I'll Post my 2 cents too. Salinity Question Lol
I agree with what all is posted, 8 to 12 hrs is usually enough time to oxygenate your water and bond all sea salt mix agents together, Just use a high volume circulating pump and have the water at your tanks Temperature and adding slowly is fine but most corals and fish acclimate quickly to Salinity Change.
