thank goodness the heat spell is over
I am not used to not having air. My daylights didn't come on for most of last week and my tank got up to 83.4 F. EEK! If we get air conditioning at all it will be a window unit that we can just turn on when we want it as it wasn't all that bad for us. We can escape to the basement or the lake. But, where does that leave my tank? I watched it closely and never saw any signs of stress. Yesterday, finally, the sun came out for my reef again and it stayed below 80 like it's supposed to.
How was the heat stretch for you guys?

Well as you Know I have Central air so I keep my home at 71 Degrees year round Which I usually runs my tank about 79 Degrees, Running my Halides on the 75 gal. well this last week I finally split my frag tank from my main system and I'm running my frag tank off Jodi's 150 MH and my Apollo Reef LED. what a difference for the past 6 years I have not had to run with a heater, but now running the smaller watt MH and the LED I'm having to use a heater again to keep my tank from getting to cold
but for our heat wave in this area of the FLATS, last night it got down to 36 degrees but it sounds like Friday where suppose to see 90's again.
