POLL: 75g OR 40b
What would you set up if you were choosing between a 75g standard and a 40 breeder?
Or, if you have some other preference 75G or under, throw that out too. (Not bigger though. Save that for another discussion.)
I don't know how to set up a poll or I would but the comments are what makes it more interesting anyway. So which and why?

Re: POLL: 75g OR 40b
I would go with the 75g just because I am running a 66g and the extra 2" front to back would be better for aquascaping

Depends on what you are looking to keep imo. Want more fish, bigger tank, want coral, smaller one. I like the 40 breeder myself.

I like little fishes anyway so a 40B would likely fit my fish wants.

Definetly a 75, if I could afford it.

Re: POLL: 75g OR 40b
I am for sure sticking with my 75. I went out and looked at the stand again last eve. It's really nice. Melissa did a great job on it. I have been kinda thinking for a long time that a smaller tank might feel more manageable but really, there's probably little difference. I'll still have to haul buckets either way.
But, it does make for good discussion which we do need more of around here!

OK got to put more then just "you know my Vote" my Vote is neither Your like me Cammie you know you like the size of a 75 gal 4" wide is pretty much perfect in my opinion you get just enough wattage to grow anything at the boarder line of not having to run a chiller so what the heck might as well since your set up less LOL,you might as well go with a 120 gal 4" long 24" wide 24 " high
Re: POLL: 75g OR 40b
I like smaller tanks, but honestly-same amount of work, same cost to run it, but you get a bigger choice in fish between a 75 and a 40.

Re: POLL: 75g OR 40b
Have you seen those tanks on "Tanked?" They turn cars, beds, frigs, etc into aquariums. If I had the money for one, I'd certainly have the money to pay someone else to maintain it. I'd love something large like 120 or bigger, BUT.... I have just moved up to a 40B thanks to Danreefs and I am so looking forward to landscaping and fish loading it. Honestly to me, bigger is always better, 75 if I could afford it. One step at a time. Budget is my only constraint on size. I had read about a guy who had an attached garage. He put in glass on one wall, then pumped in saltwater from the nearby ocean and kept local fish. Well if wishes were fishes, I'd eat like a King!
