local tank builders

Just out of curiosity, are there any local tank builders around? I'm curious because I really REALLY want to get a 48"wx48"lx18"h tank (shallow cube) but could never afford the shipping that comes with a tank like that. Its just idle thoughts, truly. But being as I'm a creature of curiosity...

I want one 2 maybe a little lOnger than wide though like 6-7'x4'x12"! If we are puttin I'n orders !! lol

heh. There IS a glass shop about 2 miles from me. Buuut I don't know if they'd do fishtanks.

I've build about 3 glass tanks,but won't any more because of the liability had one bust a seam on me I don't think it was a building defect on my part and he never blamed me because he stored it for 3 years in a none heated garage and in the winter month's it got to cold and silicone will shrink in extreme cold weather and We both think that's why the seam broke but still I felt bad for the mess it made.
but I will build Acrylic tanks to people specks.

Pick up your Acrylic and will take it from there once you see what the acrylic is going to cost my cost will sem like nothing I guarantee you won't get someone cheaper to build one.When I do tanks I usually like building them with a black bottom and black back, I would get 7/16"

I get mine from custom plastic's in Fargo or I watch ebay and the net for sales., and I like using Cast.

Acrylic I's very expensive especially the good stuff for tanks !! My tank used 3/4" but that was probably just do to the height of it !
