I found another small one. It's not our first bout with the ugly stuff but, after hearing what happened to Val last time, I'm afraid to kalk paste it which would seem the easiest method to use. It's right next to a candy cane coral that I'd hate to stress or harm. Last time Jason took the rock out and gouged the whole area out and then we rinsed it off good. I'm not thinking that would go over well this time. I hate stuff like aptasia. Finally get the tank looking how we want and feeling good about algae control and we lose a fish and find pests!

aptasia is almost inevitable over time in the marine world. The best thing to do is try and find a natural way to control it. If you go to any saltwater store you will see they all have aptasia somewhere or another and that is how it is on corals you get from other people and other places if you were to go to these huge aquarium online stores they would have some somewhere too. The kalk pastes and joes juice work but the best things are
copperband butterfly fish
peppermint shrimp
vinegar
joes juice

I've been kalking the few I've found as it seems to be more effective than lemon juice or hot water, you could also maybe superglue over it. I used a tiny needle with lemon juice for near zoos and stuff but they suck up fast!

I can't seem to keep shrimp long so I'm going to probably go with lemon juice or kalk paste I guess. I got by for so long without the stuff. Oh well.....

Thanks guys.
