SPS/algea question Empty SPS/algea question

I had to move my powerhead away from blowing on the sps for a few weeks because my acans were not happy with the flow situation, the only one that seemed to mind was my birdsnest, which lightened in color a bunch and now has algea growing in a couple spots, I've got it back in a good high flow spot and it seems to be recovering but I was wondering if it's ok just to let the algea go away on it's own or should I snip off the parts with algea on them?

I would recommend snipping them if it took off that fast. If they are deep into the coral, let it go on it's own.
