Zoanthids.
Thought I would give this forum something to talk about for awhile. Show me your zoas and the names of them along with how long you have had them and how you care for them and any other info you have on them. I'm looking to buy alot of zoas so I was wondering about your success.

Re: Zoanthids.
I have got about 5-6 differant ones in my tank now and they are doing good I can try and get some pictures
Re: Zoanthids.
I suck at zoas. I bought a frag pack when I first got into corals and they did well but now usually they die in my tank. I can grow palys just fine but those little zoanthids die. They can be fussy and whole colonies melt out of the blue and kinds grow all over and become a pest. For palys I have some pink ones plus some green and the ugly browns, then I have some true paly grandis as well which are huge polyps.

Is this true with all zoas that they are hard to keep or just your tank?

I don't have trouble growing zoas so it must depend on the tank. I'll have to take some pics. I have several types. Good topic IMO!!!!!!!! I should have made my screen name zoaluvr. I just like that they come in so many colors. I'm hoping my nano can be a zoa & ricordia garden.

I would love to see some pics and all of the info that I listed. I will get some pics up once I get mine but for now, this is one of them that I will be getting. Hopefully this thread keeps going.

i will have katie take a bunch of pics one of these days. Just for people to know copperband butterflys will eat zoos. He has nailed one that was from cherry corals but it survived with one polyp and he waked a frag from bens meeting.

Re: Zoanthids.
Some zoas do well in my tank, and other do not. I have some that have just shrunk terribly. I had heard once that you can dip them in iodine? but I am too scared to try it. Does anyone have any information on this meathod of "Saving" zoas?

I gotta get some pics done to post. I'll try to get around to it soon. Never tried dipping my corals in anything so I'm not much help there.

Re: Zoanthids.
Here's some of mine. Many don't have names but they are cool anyway (just much cheaper for frags )
I have more but I'll have to upload the pics later. Some of these are old pics too. I have Blue Steel Zoas and Eagle Eye zoas for the named ones but no pics .
