New tank! Empty New tank!

Post by GoingPostal Thu Feb 14, 2013 9:07 pm

Ok nothing new in it but I picked up this biocube 8 for hella cheap and decided to move my nps coral out in the open instead of underneath my big tank. Had to replace the bulbs and the pump so far and I need to replace the fan, it doesn't sound so good sometimes but oh well.

It was kind of a struggle rearranging, it's a little tank and I have to make sure nobody is touching when they are happy, the dendros might get moved a bit eventually.

The size difference in my dendros is hilarious. That huge polyp has been one sad lonely head for 5 frickin years now, the smaller colony was one head when I got it and is popping out babies like crazy, only had it a little over a year I think.

Here's my 135 gallon now too as a freshwater tank, just guppies in there though

There are guppy breeders that make a ton of money on the fancy ones. I know at times in my youth I was heavily into those beauties and I do not see them in the pet stores much.

Very nice looking tanks. I love the giant dendro!

I can't lie. It still makes me sad to see the big tank a freshwater tank but I understand your reasons and it's still pretty. Guppies were my first fish obsession when I was young too. Smile

I love guppies too. We used to raise guppies and the culls we fed to our Oscars. Now those are neat fish.

The fancy schmancy are even fancier than ever. They are available all over the net, if you look them up. Pricey of course starting about $100 a pair. Now I like a good freshwater, especially heavily planted. Now a tank of discus would be awesome. Has anyone seen the freshwater aquascaping by Amano? A VERY famous man in Japan. His work is stunning.

And the guppies get the glory! Figures. Yeah the amano series tanks look awesome, I'm more low key than it seemed like those setups need though.

Anyways new stuff
Some red things! I've heard them called parrazoanthus, terrazoathis and epizoinds so red things they are. There's other large zoas on it and looks like baby sun corals.

And unhappy sun coral colony. I've seen one open so far.

I'll give your NPS much love - they're great as always and the small tank is the perfect solution to the NPS problems!
