HOW ARE THE RICS DOING?
I'm just curious how the Ricordeas are doing that several got from me at the last meeting? I'd like to know if they made it and if they are happy in their new homes? Thanks, guys!

Re: HOW ARE THE RICS DOING?
Oh dear. Sorry to hear about that GP. Did the baby one make it? It looked nice and healthy.
Mine is doing well. At first, it didn't open up very big. The last few days it has expanded more and is now maybe a little larger than a quarter.
Thanks!

Yeah, did the baby one make it? It was pretty healthy looking yet. I had my doubts about the larger one - it just looked too stressed.
Blennie, the ric should get to be agout 2 inches across...is it getting enough light? My other ones open up to about 3" across when the MH is on. They like the top of the tank from what I can tell. Just curious.

Re: HOW ARE THE RICS DOING?
I don't know, gotta find it, I took down the ten gallon and shoved everything in my 33, threw all the little mushrooms into my filter because they still get light there and then I don't lose them. I suppose I should dig it out today.

Re: HOW ARE THE RICS DOING?
I've got to look up that picture Val found before of these. They really don't look like ric to me. Great mushroom though. Almost looks more like a hairy to me. I hope you find your baby. If not, I'll share one when mine splits or whatever.

Re: HOW ARE THE RICS DOING?
I found the baby and glued it to a rock, now here's hoping it doesn't slime off and go running around the tank.

Re: HOW ARE THE RICS DOING?
I hope that baby makes it for you too. Like I said, I''m pretty sure it is a ric, but who knows. I've seen photos of hairys that look similar, but they most resembled a ric. Let me know what you find out

Re: HOW ARE THE RICS DOING?
MN Reef...These are the rics that I got from you...they were splitting, etc. so I shared the wealth. Do you remember what kind of rics they are? I've had a few questions about that and I have no clue! Any help much appreciated!

Re: HOW ARE THE RICS DOING?
lol, they were sold to me as a ricordia in duluth, they split all the time and got everywhere in my tank. I am torn between thinking they are some sort of shroom and ricordia. Tuff to say for sure.

Re: HOW ARE THE RICS DOING?
Mine's very tiny and mostly brown at the moment, it does look like a small hairy but I can't really tell. Someone should post a pic of their happy and healthy one.

Re: HOW ARE THE RICS DOING?
UPDATE:
I used to want another hairy mushroom. I thought I lost mine in when we upgraded to the 75 last winter. Well, I got one from HD at Cooper's meeting (Thanks!) and got what Val called Ric from Tiff and Jame's meeting. The one from Val is now a colony of three and the little bit of slime left after we lost ours grew into another one. Now I have FIVE hairy mushrooms. Does anyone want one?
