No they are not eating them. so if they let go will they start to grow where the eggs land? should I take them out??

No, there's no baby daddy to fertilize them. Laughing Usually they just get eaten or sucked into the filtration. Shouldn't hurt anything.

Yup they look like eggs. But they look more like encrusting Gorgonian (Erythropodium caribaeorum) rather than Green Star Polyps. They regularly spawn in the wild (Caribbean) mostly in late summer ..early fall. From what I read on Advanced Aquarist (Oct. 2008 issue) most Gorgonian species reproduce by brooding where fertilized eggs are held internally and released by the parent colony. So it is possible that you dont need a daddy to make babies in the coral world! In any case I wont be too worried about it. Thanks for sharing. Its pretty rare. Vishnu

Yes they are encrusting Gorgonian, I got them from you Vishnu when I came the first time. They spread like wild fire!!!

Yes even these pictures are worth posting on other forums. I havent seen any accounts of these species spawning in captivity. So its a nice thing.
