Leaking bulkheads Empty Leaking bulkheads

Post by seaponygirl Sat Nov 28, 2015 3:26 pm

I need some suggestions. I am setting up Jim's old 75, and I can't get the return bulkhead to seal. And when I say leak I mean a pretty steady stream. The overflow bulkhead has held from the first. I have taken out the bad BH several times. Reseated the gasket, replaced the gasket. Reseated the BH and replaced the BH. Hand tightened and added a half turn with a wrench. It still leaks. It leaks from different spot rah time. Wiggling the return pipe can change the place it leaks or makes it run out faster.
Any ideas out there?. Now I'm really getting spooked about trying the 120.
Help me please, Obi want a Cannoli! You're my only hope!
