2016 Swap and Speakers?

So, is there any plan to do a frag swap in 2016?

We were going to go to one next week but looks like life is getting in the way . A swap here has been brought up. We have a meeting? Next week so I'll bring it up if there is interest. Do you want to come here or host one there?

It seems Bemidji has historically been a good place to host a swap. I'm not sure we have the volunteers to pull off a swap here, as well as the space, and what resources we have are largely being tied up by the Zoo Reef tank project

We will see what interest we can stir up. I think I heard that TCMAS is having a speaker event in Feb. maybe later when weather is not so iffy.

Yes, I believe TCMAS's speaker event is Feb 27th and I plan to attend that. However, I know there are a few of vendors that said they would come if we planned an event this year. I can get the room, vendors and we can talk about offering food again. We have a little bit of cash we could put toward a speaker. Any ideas? I'd love to either have a speaker, workshop or both. I had thought maybe David Grigor could come and share about algae scrubbers since we had talked to him about it awhile back and it hasn't happened yet but, that could be for another time too.

If we have tacos in a bag again and Ginseng coffee, I'll help in anyway I can!

I'd come and help. I just need to learn to tell Life screw you I'll always be busy working,but I need a life too...LOL.

We are moving ahead with this even so MARK YOUR CALENDARS for April 2nd!!

I'll put in now for the day off. My tank MAY have water in it by then (lol, yeah right!)

Another update:
Dry goods that I know of coming for the garage sale are growing! I know of two different rules of new sand, 2 70w halides (would make excellent fuge lights, 24g aquapod w/out back chambers, a filter sock and holder, 30" strip light and 2 400w halide w/t5s. A Fargo LFS is cleaning house too so there will be a lot of used stuff for a person to buy at a discount! Plan to be there and see what deals you can get!
