Want to play ID with no photo?
Hi, Seaponygirl again. I have a new soft coral in my tank, that is a mystery to me. This game is
designed to test your wits, as I can give you a despcription but no photo. (insert evil laugh)
This new coral is about 1" tall, there is another much smaller one farther away. It has a central stalk about 1/4" long. After that it branches in about 4 arms, that then triple branch. The ends of these branches look pointed, but on closer inspection they appear to have "stars" on each end. The tips before the stars are very bright neon green. And they fluoresce under actinic. The base and arms are beige.
So those are the clues. Are you brave enough to play?
PS I don't know the answer.

Leather coral, possibly a colt or a devils hand.

Good guesses I'm leaning toward sinularia too.
