Hey Garret its Karl that was around with joyce i wouldnt mind picking up some more wood polyps they are a good filler ... and some other frags doug tells me your buying many id love to see the tank i got a new cell and lost your number but if you wanna figure something out i got a nice pink bubble coral to trade or frag if you still want one lmk my number is 760 0801 thanks Karl

Any idea what kind of brain is this and is this normal behavior the sweeper tentacles? once the halides go off and is only 10000k and atinic mix for light?

It's a big trachy and those are feeder tentacles, throw it some mysis or chopped krill, some of mine open awesome like that and other's don't, I think it looks pretty cool, they don't seem to be aggressive with sweepers at all from what I've seen.

Awesome ... Yeah I've been feeding it blended shrimp and salmon as thats what i feed all my aggressive corals and critters ... and then supplement with Phyto Plankton bottle form by api I believe he goes nuts tentacles get over 1 inch long lol... It makes my girlfriend jealous since her White BTA's tentacles are only about 1/2 inch Very Happy hehe

Btw Is a Trachphyllia the same as a open brain? Somebody on reef central had one like it they called it an open brain?

Several corals are called open brains, mostly trachys but also lobophyllia's, symphyillia's, etc. Closed brains are favia/favites types.
