Opinions on skimmers
I am thinking of adding a correct sized skimmer back on the tank and not really sure which one of the 3 I have been looking at would be best.

Re: Opinions on skimmers
Go with 1 or 3 and you will be just fine. Tho im reading alot more poeple over on RC like the MSX over the Octopus something to do with more air intake.

Re: Opinions on skimmers
Between my tanks and sump I'm running about 120 gals and my MSX 200 works Awesome. out of many, many, many other skimmers I've owned the MSX has preformed great.
Re: Opinions on skimmers
It kind of sounds like the cone one does not come with a pump.

Re: Opinions on skimmers
The cone does come with a pump it just $70 extra and is the sicce psk 2500. I haven't heard anyone running the cone either or at least this brand. The msx will suit my tank as I can have a heavy bioload and still have a little extra. Where as the octopus seems a little on the small side, though I ran the octopus nw 110 and did like it.

Re: Opinions on skimmers
I have a MSX160 on my 75 with about 105 total gallons with the sump and it is working great! I had a CPR before and it just couldn't cut it. the Octopus ones are typically close to the same with a different pump...
