feather duster

My feather duster looks like he was pinched... part of it is almost pinched off..came out...went back in...hasn't been out for days....alive or dead?

Part of the feather or the tube? Mine's hid for a couple days but never too long before coming out. The tube has looked closed up before but it always came out eventually. I think mine is dead now though, threw it's crown last week and hasn't grown it back so I think it was starving and now dead. Do you have a pic of yours?

i think it the duster...he comes out of the tube...where he is pinched..i could take a pic...but can't figure out how to post a pic...thainks for the info
