Ok so i did some test today. My cal is 400 and mag is 1440 and my KH is 7. If im right my KH is low not by much. With my cal and mag where thay are can my KH be low? I'm lost with the way all 3 work together.

From what I have seen all 3 may work together but can be ajusted seperately. i tested mine one day and came up with ca480, kh 5.6 degrees, mag 1437. I have been adding kh for a couple weeks and ca is droping now.

they all can be adjusted individually but usually not without changing another one of them. Your kh is pretty normal. what is your salinity? it is hard to get kh high withought 1.026 salinity, crashing calcium or without totally screwing up your ph

i would probably add a little kalk if you are worried about it but 7 dkh is real ocean water is from what i recall. I would say your numbers are in acceptable range to grow coral.

All my corals and clams look and grow good. So for now im not to worried about. I do have the stuff to add kalk when the time is right. Clams are starting to suck up the cal faster all the time.

clams unfortunately consume a lot of calcium.
