how many over how big of a tank?

250 watts is a LOT of light. So 2 would do well over a 55-75, 1 does good over a cube/smaller tank. But if its a shallow tank you will bleach and fry your corals, nems, and everything else

I'm not planning on getting them. I just wanted to point them out to the club in case they might work for someone. Thanks for the input Jodi as I have no experience with halides, myself. Smile

Ohhh, well, nevermind then! lol. I had a 250 watt once, it was really really nice.
