Help Me Decide
I would like to buy at least one coral from each vendor and keep it in the science center 210 until I can buy my own tank. Getting closer to that unless I spend all my money on the 21st.
I'm looking at the red or blue milli from our ND vendor. Are they a good choice for a newcomer? Any other suggestions?

Re: Help Me Decide
I thought sps was kind of iffy in the 210. SPS in general is usually better for a stable, been set up for awhile tank and needs a lot of light. Not sure what you are planning for equipment or what kind of tank you are going for, mixed reef, sps dominated, lps and softies, etc. I don't know how hard or easy millis are on the sps scale either, I don't keep much.

Re: Help Me Decide
Millis can be picky for sure as I lost my large 10" colony in a tank move...
The hardy SPS would be montipora Caps, Birdsnests, and Montipora Digitata I'd think. You will find some good large frags of b-nests in the raffle/club sale tank up there from me.

Re: Help Me Decide
Honestly, I would just stay away from SPS for the HSC tank. Wait to get SPS till you have your own tank. Stick to softies and LPS for now.

Re: Help Me Decide
Cloves ok? Looking at Reef Deep's corals. I want to buy something there too. Some great looking corals.
Just bought this book off Amazon so I won't be such a pain in the butt.

Re: Help Me Decide
Yup, cloves are a softy, and rather hardy. Sometimes they melt away, but usually they are in a tank to stay.

Re: Help Me Decide
210 doesn't have anything of that color does it? What about spongodes?
