H. Kuda pics...wanted to share.
Just got these last week and wanted to share a couple pics. First up is the female, then the male.
Right now they are in my 10g, but pending they do well I'd like to upgrade to a larger tank, and get another pair. Maybe some H. Erectus.
Male was being shy.
I've been target feeding them PE Mysis and they seem to be doing good so far.

You'll definitely a bigger tank soon for them! With their messy big eating style, and need for a taller tank.. you'll want something tall. Think 18 inches when they're full grown (25 gallon cube, for example)
And its highly recommended to keep them in species only tanks. >.< kuda with kuda even, and no erectus in there. The erectus tend to be hardier then hell and spread diseases to others that're housed with them. If you DO want to get another similar species that's as delicate as kuda, Reidi are available at around the same price
Good luck! I am still debating on fish for my 37 gallon, and am really thinking seahorses, moving my gobies over to it and keeping the 25 as the bad-boy tank (clownfish and the angel)

I'd probably either setup a separate tank or get rid of the kuda's in order to get some erectus. Not intersted in the reidi's really. But thanks for the info tho. Good to know.
Probably look at either a 15h or a 20g for them in a couple months.

If you want seahorses go to seahorse source.com. The Underwoods are great people and provide the best livestock. I would say go to seahorse .com and go to the forum and take their training course. You will learn so much by doing it. I have 2 pairs of Hippocampus erectus in my 30tall.

I'll head over and register and seahorse forum. I've looked over their site before. Looks like some nice stuff, might order some vibrance but I get all my livestock locally.
How long have you had your h. erectus?

I'm on the seahorse forum from way back when I had them. Their articles section is AMAZING and I'd recommend that itself, if the people there sucked... which they don't. They're awesome

My male released babies today. I pulled most of them out and have started up some bbs. Doubt I will have any luck at this point but it will be good practice and give me a starting point for future batches.

Are they big enough to take pics of? Baby seahorses sound even cuter than adult ones.
