Club Equip on it's way
I used the $105 we raised from donated frag sales to buy our club a handheld TDS meter and a handheld phosphate checker w/100 reagent packets. They're on the way. So, at the next meeting, we can test your water!

Re: Club Equip on it's way
Its nice to know... we can all bring our, say, house water to see how many TDS we have floating around. Can also test what our rodi's are pumping out, yes.

Re: Club Equip on it's way
I'n my mind most with ro/di have a Tds i have a dual I'n line ! I guess i was just wondering why that was choose as a club checker who wants to lug ro water around but it really has nothing todo with me ! I was just curious doesn't really seem like something everyone can benefit from ! But that's just me and im sure others see it differently than i do so i asked !

Re: Club Equip on it's way
Not everyone in the club has rodi and a or a tester. I will like to even just double check my in line meter. It was a great idea and I guarantee it will get used. Im more excited about the phosphate meter. Kits are pretty much worthless.

I'd also like to use both, I only have an inline meter and nothing to check it against and curious what the tap water is here. Phosphate I never have algae really but never tested for it before.

Right on i guess i didnt think of it that way ! I really didn't mean any thing by it ! Was just asking. Now after thinking about it and hearing others input i do see that Tds was a good idea!

Re: Club Equip on it's way
FYI the in-line RODI TDS checkers require MOVING water to test correctly. The handheld ones can be used in still water and work fine. It is a different type of meter and always good to verify existing equipment. Calibration of the in-lines are really hard as the water needs to be moving for a correct reading.

Re: Club Equip on it's way
I've been gone but I missed some good discussion. Another thing to consider is, the TDS meter was only $25. It was not a big chunk of the club raised dollars. Thanks for all the comments and the quesion too, Bam Bams. There may not be many non RODI users in the club but they are out there. We're big into helping newbs here and they are the ones most likely to try going without. Hopefully, this will help us steer them right before they get into too much trouble. The nice thing about both of these items is they can go with to meetings so anyone who attends can have access.
