yeah it is always funny reading actual readings because everyone in this hobby is real stubborn in what they say is right or wrong. I did actually lower my halides with the old bulbs and it seemed to work fine minus the heat transfer. The only thing they did not talk about is how many more watts a bulb uses when it is running at 75%. According to what i have heard is that a 400 watt bulb running at say 75% is actually drawing 500watts because lack of burning efficiency, but this study is nice for people so they dont have to drop 500 dollars every 9 months on bulbs and could postpone it.
