Not finished, I'm going to pick up another mag rock and put the new sps on there, move some lps back up to the top section. Probably in Jan when I'm less broke

Acan lords, ones in the front pissed off again! This colony hates me so up for trade if anyone wants it.

A lot of water changes? I don't know, because I don't really test or dose on a regular basis and I think I overfeed, and there's no skimmer or anything fancy on the tank, just the powerhead. LPS is so easy to keep happy so that helps, give them light and food, it's strange though how some corals go through mad growth spurts for me and others never seem to change. I've never really had a slime algea issue, but it seems like a huge struggle for most that get it. I was/am getting some brown algea growing in the sand but nothing crazy, happens because of where I moved the powerhead but otherwise the acans get too much flow.

Wow very Nice Tiff tank looks great, I'd take some shots of my tank but my tank right now is going threw a Flatworm out break. Rolling Eyes
the sad thing is I can't figure out how I got them haven't added anything to my tank in awhile.?
the sad thing is with my truck getting wrecked, and having to get Xmas presents for my kids and my 7 grand kids and other family members and just getting my inverts my Tank funds are gone for this month already. Rolling Eyes
I've been doing more water changes and sucking out what I can for the time being but I need to Flatworm exit them before I loose all my fish. affraid since my out break I've lost my powder brown and a Fairy wrasse Evil or Very Mad .

Stick a media bag on the end of some airline tubing and suck them out that way, put the water back in, don't need to do a huge change at same time. I'd send you my flatworm exit but I checked and it expired last year, guess it's trash. Does work well but I'd get your numbers down before using it. I've had them a few times but never to the point of an issue other than making the tank look fugly. You have a lot of flow don't you? That's weird they would go nuts in your tank. Although in the past I've had them totally disappear in one tank and plague another for no apparent reason. Stupid pests.

I hear that about pests, yeah I use a media bag and been running carbon, but my #'s got so high as I was sucking them up and they would collect at the bottom of the media bag I think the #'s where so high and within 45 seconds of sucking them up they would get about 1/4" deep at the bottom of the media bag get squashed die and would release toxins in the tank because a few minutes after I was done my fish would go into hiding not even to come out for food and my yellow tank raced in front of my tank for hours afterwords, Sad
and after a few days I would have to make sure I dump my collector cup on my skimmer because the fumes that came out of my skimmate would burn your eyes,I'm just glad so far it doesn't seem to have to much of a ill effect on the inverts or my corals.
and Thanks Tiff for offering yours yeah same here I have enough probably to treat about 400 gals if needed but mine to are all out dated to I haven't had and out break in years, because I Q all my corals and Revive and Iodine dip before I Q them, because of years ago when I would get out breaks once in awhile.
and yeah I have plenty of flow I just put my 6055 that was in my frag tank in my 75 gal so I'm running 3-6055 tunzes on controllers in there now.

Looks a lot more roomy for your fish Garrett but I think they'd appreciate a bit more water.

A little bit but it has been nice not to worry about it. I still would like to set up the 46 bow I have but I would need to get all the equipment for it, If I set it up I will just get T-5's, I have a turbofloter 1000 I can get for a skimmer in a trade for some work so I might do that.

Tiff, the tank looks awesome still. Thanks for posting something to look at and get us talking!

Dan, sorry you're having troubles. I would think algae would be harder to keep at bay in a seahorse tank since you're suppose to have lower flow. I think if I had more/better flow in my tank, I wouldn't be fighting the algae battle I am now. I need more flow to the lower rocks and am working toward more variable flow. That should help too. I can't speak from experience about seahorse tanks. I don't even know anyone that has tried one.

Jim, that sounds nasty. What a downer. I hope it gets under control soon.

Garrett, I give you 2 months and you'll be back. Smile

Swanwillow, new Salinity? Not sure what you mean.

I'll try to post up pics this eve. They will have HA. Just warning ya. It's not terrible but it's there.

Salinity is a new type of salt. Supposedly the 'best of the best of the best'. Want to try it out to see!

I KNOW they are too small. I wasn't getting along with photobucket this a.m.! Maybe it was cuz I hadn't had my coffee. I can try again this eve.

Yes..the middle pic is a chalice I got from Garrett (I think he got it from Mary & Dustin). It's like one I used to have (also from them) but lost. I'm very glad to have acquired another even though I had to pay for it twice.
